Stuff

Woke up this morning, came downstairs & found Michael's hamster, Nippy dead in his cage. This wasn't a total trauma because we had been expecting this for some time now. The life expectancy for a hamster is about 18 months, Clay says & Nippy lived for 2 years & 7 months! So he's had a good long life. It's still hard though. And it seems like it's always ME......I had to find the hamster & then tell Michael. I had to go through all this with Alli last year when her hamster died. Oh the joys of motherhood! This is what I worked on yesterday afternoon while Clay & the boys were off at Lowe's getting us a new kitchen faucet. Pics from this summer when Ashley, Jon & I went down to the pond picking blackberries one evening. I can't help but think of this Brooks & Dunn song when I look at this:
'That's where I first saw Mary,
On the roadside pickin' blackberries...
Down that old dirt road.'

I'm so sorry to hear about Nippy. It was hard for us when Mason's Zach died.
