This Week's Treasures

We went yard-saling again this morning. Didn't find anything super big or awesome.....but a few little treasures none-the-less.I got all 4 of these Nicholas Sparks books for .10 each & the DC Talk book for a quarter.
Michael W Smith for me & P.O.D. for Clay......50 cents each & they are in awesome condition.

I think this might be my favorite find of the day. I happened upon these two gallon ziplocs full of crocheted granny squares & two hot pads. I asked the lady how much the crocheted stuff was & she said I could have it all for $3. When I reached in my pocket, I realized that I had a five dollar bill & two dollars......so before I broke that $5, I asked her if she'd take $2 instead & she said SURE! I was so proud of myself for haggling a little bit too! ;-)

I asked the lady how many squares there were....wondering if there would be enough to stitch together into a small throw blanket & she didn't even know. When I got home & spread them all out for photographing, I counted up 66 adorable little squares!

They're done with a really small hook.....definitely smaller than a G hook......at least an F or maybe even an E.

I can't wait to stitch them all together! Will be sure & do a 'Ta-Da' post when I'm finished & show y'all my lovely new 'Yard Sale Throw'.

I love the black borders around the squares. I can't wait to see it all put together.
