Clay & the boys picked these Morel Mushrooms in our yard yesterday....over near the dog lot. They had picked several last year up on the mountain while turkey hunting & then shook them all around over near the dog lot. They actually forgot about it til they saw these growing over there this spring. Clay says they are some awfully good eating.....he can go to it......Blech!!

Morel mushrooms - Mmmmm! They have barely begun around here but when they do, folks are scouring the hills/mountain sides for them. They go for a lot of money to the restaurants, etc. We had some one year on our place but we were too green to know how to cook them right. Obviously, we were too dumb to know to shake them for more to grow! Clay is just too dang smart!
