Shake

Was sitting outside after supper this evening when the Animal Control lady came driving up. She said she had our dog that had been hit. Poor old Shake....I just KNEW this was going to happen. He was so old, couldn't see or hear hardly at all, but he stuck with his little buddy, Spud & they ran any & every where together! Little Spud was so sad & forlorn-looking after the lady left. Called Clay & he said the boys were going to have to dig hole to bury him......couldn't leave him til he got home....it would be too late & dark by then. So, Jon dug the hole while Michael & Alli gathered flowers. Ashley didn't want to come out there at all! Said she wanted to remember Shake the way he used to be. This layout below is for her.......Spud & Shake...best buds.

'To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; A time to be born, and a time to die.'
~Ecclesiastes 3:1-2~

Rest in Peace, Shake. What a sad post.

I'm so sorry. I know how awful it is to loose a beloved friend like that.

Oh Amy, I'm so sad for your family but at least it seems that he had a fun, adventurous, happy life with a family that loved him. I remember all to well the ache when you lose a member of the family, it hasn't been a year since we lost Holly and somedays I still find myself looking for her. They definitely leave paw prints on our hearts.
