I'm cold.......

Think I'll make some coffee! Busy today....running errands, getting groceries, lunch at Chickfila with my 2 girlies. Supper tonight was left-overs......baked ziti & garlic bread for me & Ashley. The others had chicken tenders, fries & garlic bread. Guess Clay will snag something out of the frige when he gets home...unless he just stops on his way & picks something up. Finished knitting a dishcloth this evening.....LOVE my hand-made dishcloths. Trying to get a nice pile so I'll have plenty to give away for Christmas. Now I'm off to try out a pattern that someone shared with me for crocheting some fingerless gloves. Ashley has been wanting some really bad & I've been having a hard time finding a QUICK & SIMPLE pattern to use. We shall see.... Off the top of my head here..........tell me some of your favorite Christmas movies that your family MUST watch each year. Ours include A Christmas Story, Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life......just to name a few.

Christmas Cards

These are a few Christmas cards that I made yesterday afternoon. Real simple....all made with stamps from the Dollar Bin at Michael's. Need to get busy & make the rest of them here soon!
Crazy thought.....been thinking about how much other folks eat out vs. cook at home.......how often do you eat out...or how often do you actually COOK a meal for supper time...thought it might a fun thing to record what I fix for supper each night. Would LOVE for those of you that leave comments to share with me what you do for supper. Wouldn't mind collecting some new recipes too along the way. I KNOW that Kaye has shared a couple that have become favorites at our house. Anyway....last night we had roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans & biscuits.....along with some applesauce & carrot chips for those kiddos who didn't want green beans. Tonight I am trying a new recipe that Maw shared with me....from Southern Living.....Baked Ziti. Ashley is real tickled about trying something new.....not too sure about the others though. Will let ya know how it goes.

Random Thoughts

Not alot going on the past few days.
Trying to get back into the groove after having almost a week off!
Good news.....Chris got his Biology test back....that he took right before Thanksgiving break......& he got a 100 on it!! WooHoo! Way to Go!
Lunch with Maw yesterday. She fixed pizza for Chris & Alli...hoagies for me & Ashley. With Fudge Ripple ice cream cones for dessert.
While Chris was in lab, the girls & I did some shopping.Picked a few more Christmas stamps from Michaels for our Christmas cards. Got Alli some much-needed PJ pants & a pair of jeans from Target. Also got Jon a pair of jeans from Walmart.
Met Ella & kids while we were in Target.....our usual Tuesday meeting place these days.
Thinking about pulling out the Christmas decorations sometime today. Need to get that done.....especially if Ella & the kids might come down this weekend. The Nelson County Christmas parade is Sunday afternoon & I was thinking about going. Haven't been in several years now.
Really need to get a move on & finish up what crochet/knit projects I need to do for Christmas gifts. Also need to get my Christmas cards done too!
But first I'm thinking I need to get my butt up from here & go get a shower.

More Layouts

Bunny crawled into the cat carrier & had himself a nice little snooze. Kept trying to come up with some different & clever title.....Ashley came up with 'Le Chat'......can you tell she's learning French now?!
Love this pic that I took of Uncle Skippy at the reunion back in September.

Been scrapping today....

Pics of the kids dressed up for their 'Haunted House' at Halloween. Each year, Ashley & Jon, do a haunted house upstairs for Michael & Alli. Ashley was a maid & a witch & Jon was a butler....the bottom photo is pictures they had drawn to decorate the walls up there.
Pictures from our annual Homeschool Halloween party at Maw's house. We always have such a good time!!
These pics were taken about a week before Halloween....Danielle & Alley came down for the day. The kids had a blast playing outside & we had a great time visiting too!! One more layout to do & I will have met my scrapping goal for the year.....to do 275 layouts. For 3 years now, I've set my goal at 365 layouts & believe it or not, for 3 years I've done exactly 275 layouts each time. So, this year, I decided to lower my goal to 275 & see if I could do it. Now, to see how far I can excede it! ;-)

Some pics from our Thanksgiving Day yesterday. My plans changed this morning....talked to Ella & she said that Taylor had a cold & she wasn't going to come out today. So.....I went ahead as planned.......BY MYSELF!! WooHoo! Tuned the radio in the van to our local station with ALL Christmas music, cranked it up & sang all the way to town. It was a really nice day. I wasn't really out to 'shop' at all, so there was NO pressure...ran by Michael's & then AC Moore. The only thing I did purchase was some yarn that they had on sale. I got $60 worth of yarn for $5!! Their 'Fancy' yarn that is normally $5.99/skein was 2/$1 today! I also picked up two new ink pads...one red & one white to use for making Christmas cards. After that, I grabbed a Mexican pizza from Taco Bell...Yum!.....& then picked up a few things from Walmart to tide us over the weekend. It really wasn't bad out today at all. Got home a little after 1pm I guess. Washed some clothes & did some scrapping. Will upload my layout here in a bit. Trying to DL some free school stuff from the Home School Estore.....they are having some great specials! Lots of free DLables today thru tomorrow morning. So far, I've got some 'planners/schedules' & some math stuff. Want to DL a thing about the Vikings that goes along with the Magic TreeHouse book.

back from Maw's

Layout of Alli I did this afternoon before we left for Maw's house. Ashley actually took the picture....she's getting to be quite the photographer around here! I just loved how her purple shirt showed up against the orange of the leaves. We had a really nice time this evening! Lots of good food.....turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry/orange gelatin salad, broccoli casserole, rolls & of course, pumpkin pie for dessert. Home now & Clay is building a fire....the temps are really dropping. Need to go get a little grocery list together for tomorrow.....Clay is working, but I'm going to meet Ella for our annual 'Mommy Shopping Day'. More than the shopping, it's become a tradition & we look forward to the fellowship/shopping/lunch out WITHOUT kiddos!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Well, we have had our traditional Thanksgiving cinnamon buns & coffee for breakfast this morning & Clay & Jon have gone out to the woods to look for his (Jon's) deer that he shot last night. He shot a 5 pt., but they never could find it in the dark, so they wanted to go back & look again in the day light. Just praying that they can find it. This is Jon's 3rd deer that he's killed so far.....Clay keeps shaking his head at being out-done by a 12 yr. old! HA! And this is not to even mention the ones that he's shot at & missed. This boy is a HUNTER!! He loves it! Going to get my shower & straighten up a bit & then hopefully scrap some. We are headed to Maw's later this afternoon for Thanksgiving dinner.

Walnut Ink & Quill Pens

Here's a sampling from each kiddo.....Most of them just wrote their name or doodled around. Alli started off writing John 3:16 but decided it would take too long to write the whole thing. Ashley wrote out the lyrics to 'God Bless America' by Irving Berlin. Love how the walnut looks when it dries & how the paper kinda wrinkles up.....like watercolors....such a cool effect. I'm glad they really had a good time doing this!

Ashley & Alli playing in the leaves. They actually took these pics themselves!

Our stack of shoeboxes ready to go to the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child. Calvary Chapel was able to pack & send 17 boxes this year.

We're OFFICIALLY on break now......

Chris had his last class this morning! WooHoo!! I plan to take it easy, scrap, watch movies with the kiddos, etc. Clay worked last night...3rd shift....so we kinda started our 'Break' then. When Michael & Alli went to bed...Chris, Ashley, Jon & I stayed up & watched Spiderman 3. It was OK....not as terrible as some folks had said & not as awesome as others said either. Definitely liked the first one the best!! Today was kinda busy.....ran Chris to class & went to Target while he was in class to get Ashley Jordin Sparks' new cd.....she's been working around the house to earn money for this & was so tickled when I came home with it for her. After lunch, I ran to the PO to drop Michael's BB gun off (it's broken & they're going to replace it), to the library to return some books. Then home again, home again, jiggity-jig.....mopped the floors, fixed potato soup for supper & then afterwards I helped the kiddos with their quill pens we made from turkey feathers. They had a blast writing with them using the walnut ink that we made yesterday. This was all part of their Thanksgiving/Colonial unit.

my day

Today, I did several loads of laundry, watched 'Ice Princess' with Alli, scrapped some this afternoon, fixed home-made pizzas for supper & then played Backgammon with Michael. That was a first for him.....he had never played before, but now he loves it & can't wait to play again tomorrow! Clay, Chris & Jon are in there now watching 'Transformers'.....just didn't seem to grab my attention, but I think they are enjoying it. I'm headed upstairs to read now.

Super-de-duper-stay-at-home-Saturday!

Can you tell I'm happy about FINALLY having a day with no where to go or nothing that I HAVE to do!!! I plan on watching some movies with the kiddos, working on my crocheted Christmas gifts & scrapping! I just printed some pics at Sams yesterday, so I'm all set with some NEW inspiration!

Chris has FINALLY got his classes/schedule all set for next semester! So glad to have that all situated. He will be taking Algebra II, US History II, English & Spanish. He only has one full day of classes this coming week & then he'll be done until the following Monday. And then he only has til Dec. 10....that's the last day of classes, then exams & he will have a month off! The above picture is some crocheted 'juggling balls' that I made for Daniel for his birthday.....he's 3 today! Happy Birthday, Daniel!

Busy, busy days......

Here's what I've been up to lately.....ran by church yesterday & picked up all the stuff we've collected for the Samaritan's Purse Christmas boxes. You should've seen my van.....it was LOADED down!! We ended up being able to pack 17 boxes & I still had some stuff left over that was too big to fit into shoe boxes & mom dropped that off for me at one of the local shelters in town.
Love thes pics of the girls playing in the leaves the other day. Ashley took the one of Alli & vice versa. They are getting pretty good with my digi camera!

These are the pics that Clay took while they were up at Mason's hunting cabin. Very rustic like I said....don't you just LOVE the johnny house?!

Chris has been busy pouring over classes & schedule times trying to figure out just what classes he needs to take next semester. Also called up to Liberty & checked with them on what all he needs to be taking as he is planning on transferring over there for next fall. He took another math placement test today & will find out how he did tomorrow when he goes in to talk to his advisor. The other kids are plugging along with our 'Pilgrim' unit. Will have to post some more pics of notebook pages when I get a chance. Ashley is now learning French. She found a set of tapes at the library & she & Alli both spend a ton of time up in her bedroom listening to the tapes & repeating all the new words they are learning. The books she has to follow along with have lessons in them also where they ask you questions & you have to answer in French. She is doing really well....can already write all her numbers up to 10. She's doing all the written lessons & keeping them in her school folder. So tickled to see her so interested in learning!!
I'm heade up to bed now.....SO tired. Looking forward to the weekend & next week. Chris only has classes on Monday & then math Tues. & he's done til the following week! Yipee!! I've got 3 new books to read...picked them up at the library today. 'The Englisher' by Beverly Lewis (started that one a long time ago & never finished it.) Also 'the Redemption of Sarah Cain' by Beverly Lewis & 'Secrets of the Heart' by Al & Joann Lacy.

Some Pictures

Ashley LOVED this car & just HAD to snap a picture as it went by!
Alli, Ashley & Maw at our table.

Just thought I'd share a few pictures from our Yard Sale adventure at Thomas Road this past Saturday. It was definitely a 'Yard Sale/Flea Market' & NOT a craft show......the only thing I sold of my crocheted items was 4 dishcloths. I made a total of $8. At least Ashley found some entertainment with my camera & snapping pics of different people there.
Hunting news: Clay & Jon went with Mason yesterday to his hunting cabin up in Covesville. Talked to them last night & they were having a blast! A very MANLY time of hunting & roughing it.....not even any indoor potty......Jon used the Out house for the first time ever.....quite the adventure! HA! Good news was that Clay & Jon BOTH got a doe yesterday afternoon! They still have a full day of hunting today & they will head home this evening after dark.

The Thorns in our Life

Sandra felt as low as the heels of her shoes when she pulled open the florist shop door, against a November gust of wind. Her life had been as sweet as a spring breeze and then, in the fourth month of her second pregnancy, a "minor" automobile accident stole her joy. This was Thanksgiving week and the time she should have delivered their infant son. She grieved over their loss. Troubles had multiplied. Her husband's company "threatened" to transfer his job to a new location. Her sister had called to say that she could not come for her long awaited holiday visit. What's worse, Sandra's friend suggested that Sandra's grief was a God-given path to maturity that would allow her to empathize with others who suffer. "She has no idea what I'm feeling," thought Sandra with a shudder. "Thanksgiving? Thankful for what?" she wondered. "For a careless driver whose truck was hardly scratched when he rear-ended her? For an airbag that saved her life, but took her child's?" "Good afternoon, can I help you?" Sandra was startled by the approach of the sh op clerk. "I . . . I need an arrangement," stammered Sandra. "For Thanksgiving? I'm convinced that flowers tell stories," she continued. "Are you looking for something that conveys 'gratitude' this Thanksgiving?" "Not exactly!" Sandra blurted out. "In the last five months, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong." Sandra regretted her outburst, and was surprised when the clerk said, "I have the perfect arrangement for you." Then the bell on the door rang, and the clerk greeted the new customer, "Hi, Barbara, let me get your order." She excused herself and walked back to a small workroom, then quickly reappeared, carrying an arrangement of greenery, bows, and what appeared to be long-stemmed thorny roses. Except the ends of the rose stems were neatly snipped: there were no flowers. "Do you want these in a box?" asked the clerk. Sandra watched - was this a joke? Who would want rose stems with no flowers! She waited for laughter, but neither woman laughed. "Yes, please," Barbara replied with an appreciative smile. "You'd think after three years of getting the special, I wouldn't be so moved by its significance, but I can feel it right here, all over again," she said, as she gently tapped her chest. Sandra stammered, "Ah, that lady just left with . . . uh . . . she left with no flowers!" "That's right," said the clerk. "I cut off the flowers. That's the 'Special'. I call it the Thanksgiving Thorns Bouquet. Barbara came into the shop three years ago, feeling much as you do today," explained the clerk. "She thought she had very little to be thankful for. She had just lost her father to cancer; the family business was failing; her son had gotten into drugs; and she was facing major surgery. That same year I had lost my husband," co ntinue d the clerk. "For the first time in my life, I had to spend the holidays alone. I had no children, no husband, no family nearby, and too much debt to allow any travel." "So what did you do?" asked Sandra. "I learned to be thankful for thorns," answered the clerk quietly. "I've always thanked God for the good things in my life and I never questioned Him why those good things happened to me, but when the bad stuff hit, I cried out, 'Why? Why me?!' It took time for me to learn that the dark times are important to our faith! I have always enjoyed the 'flowers' of my life, but it took the thorns to show me the beauty of God's comfort! You know, the Bible says that God comforts us when we're afflicted, and from His consolation we learn to comfort others." Sandra sucked in her breath, as she thought about what her friend had tried to tell her. "I guess the truth is I don't want comfort. I've lost a baby and I'm angry with God." Just then someone else wa lked i n the shop. "Hey, Phil!" the clerk greeted the balding, rotund man. "My wife sent me in to get our usual Thanksgiving arrangement . . . twelve thorny, long-stemmed stems!" laughed Phil as the clerk handed him a tissue wrapped arrangement from the refrigerator. "Those are for your wife?" asked Sandra incredulously. "Do you mind telling me why she wants a bouquet that looks like that?" "Four years ago, my wife and I nearly divorced," Phil replied. "After forty years, we were in a real mess, but with the Lord's grace and guidance, we trudged through problem after problem, the Lord rescued our marriage. Jenny here (the clerk) told me she kept a vase of rose stems to remind her of what she had learned from "thorny" times. That was good enough for me. I took home some of those stems. My wife and I decided to label each one for a specific "problem" and give thanks for what that problem taught us." As Phil paid the clerk, he said to Sandra, "I hig hly re commend the Special!" "I don't know if I can be thankful for the thorns in my life" Sandra said to the clerk. "It's all too fresh." "Well," the clerk replied carefully, "my experience has shown me that the thorns make the roses more precious. We treasure God's providential care more during trouble than at any other time. Remember that it was a crown of thorns that Jesus wore so we might know His love. Don't resent the thorns." Tears rolled down Sandra's cheeks. For the first time since the accident, she loosened her grip on her resentment. "I'll take those twelve long-stemmed thorns, please," she managed to choke out. "I hoped you would," said the clerk gently. "I'll have them ready in a minute." "Thank you. What do I owe you?" "Nothing. Nothing but a promise to allow God to heal your heart. The first year's arrangement is always on me." The clerk smiled and handed a ca rd to Sandra. "I'll attach this card to your arrangement, but maybe you would like to read it first." It read: "My God, I have never thanked You for my thorns. I have thanked You a thousand times for my roses, but never once for my thorns. Teach me the glory of the cross I bear; teach me the value of my thorns. Show me that I have climbed closer to You along the path of pain. Show me that, through my tears, the colors of Your rainbow look much more brilliant." Praise Him for the roses; thank Him for the thorns. God Bless you. Be thankful for all that the Lord does for you. "Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly, and leave the rest to God." We often try to fix problems with WD-40 and Duct tape. God did it with nails.

Whew!

We are home from church this morning again...not because of a sick child this time, but because Clay had to drive the van to work. My last few days have been just CRAZY & I am all too happy to just stay home & do NOTHING today (besides I have a sinus headache already this morning.) Thursday evening after Jon killed his deer, they moved the truck so they could shine the head lights on their work area. Clay forgot that it wasn't in gear & woke up Friday morning & realized that the truck wasn't there! He freaks out & runs outside in his UNDERWEAR (you realize that we live out in the country & there's no one around to see him except for maybe some cows!).....the truck had rolled down the hill, scraped alongside my uncle's flatbed hay trailer & ended up pinned against one of those huge round bales of hay! PTL no one was around when this happened....no one got hurt. But the driver's side door is all dented in/scraped up & it folded the mirror back & when he pulled away, it just broke right off. So, this is all Friday morning EARLY.....we fly around & get ready so we can drop Chris at school, Clay called work & said he'd be an hour late, then I dropped him at work, got groceries, picked Chris back up from school & came home. Put all the groceries away, fixed supper & then I had to go back & get Clay from work! THEN, yesterday morning was the flea market/yard sale at Mom's church & he didn't want me to have to miss that, so again we got up EARLY....5:15am....took him to work & then the girls & I headed to our yard sale adventure by 7:30am. I made a whopping $8 yesterday. Came home & piddled around for the afternoon & then had to go back last night to get Clay again. SO.......needless to say, the past few days have been quite an adventure & I am most ready to stay HOME today & enjoy a quiet, restful day here!!

WooHoo!

Jon FINALLY got him a deer!! After going all week & seeing/missing 4 different bucks, he was able to get a nice 4 point. It wasn't the BIG 8 point he tried for the other day, but hey.....for a 12 yr. old this ain't too shabby!

Sheeesh............

Finally headed upstairs to get my shower! It's been one of those morning where & I feel like I've been trying to do a bazillion things, but not getting ANY of them done! After getting off the computer this morning, I went into the kitchen to start on the dishes & cleaning up in there. Clay & Jon decide they want to head on out & spend the WHOLE day hunting (just for this one day)......so, I have to stop & help Jon look for his sweat pants......which of course, even though I have four baskets of clean laundry, he can't find ANY clean sweats! After finding a pair, then Clay says I need to find Chris' thermals for Jon to put on under the sweats..........off I go upstairs to dig through the closets & the wardrobe looking for the thermals......which are NOT to be found anywhere (of course!). Clay tells me not to worry, it will be ok....so back to the kitchen where I was doing the dishes. Jon comes in with some water bottles & asks if I will wash & refill these for them. Then, I must help get them a lunch together, since they are planning on staying out til dark. In between all this, I'm washing a dish or two here & there.....swept up all the junk in the living room from the wood stove....cleaned up Alli's Barbie totes so I can borrow one of those to put my crocheted items in for Saturday. Anyways......kitchen is FINALLY clean & the guys have headed off hunting........watched them walking down to the barn & was wishing I had my camera handy.......Jon is so tall....almost as tall as Clay & right then & there all my frustrations of the morning just melted away. Who could ask for anything better than seeing their two guys headed out to spend the day together in the woods?! You certainly don't get that in a classroom! We are truely blessed!!

Being Thankful

Michael's drawing of our home.
Alli's drawing of her home, mom, dad, food & water.

Jon's drawing...365 days in a year, his home, family, food, water & Jesus on the cross.

This morning we talked about exactly WHO a Pilgrim is...how the first thought that usually pops into your mind is the big black hat with the shiny buckle & the big white collar.

Here's the dictionary definition:
pil·grim /ˈpɪlgrɪm, -grəm/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[pil-grim, -gruhm] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun
1. a person who journeys, esp. a long distance, to some sacred place as an act of religious devotion: pilgrims to the Holy Land.
2. a traveler or wanderer, esp. in a foreign place.
3. an original settler in a region.
4. (initial capital letter) one of the band of Puritans who founded the colony of Plymouth, Mass., in 1620.
5. a newcomer to a region or place, esp. to the western U.S.

We talked about WHY they left England to come to America, the conditions on the ship, how long the trip took them, etc. & ended up talking about what we thought they were MOST thankful for when they finally arrived in America. Our first response waw being thankful to be OFF the ship & on solid ground again....Michael & I were remembering another 'Survivor Man' show we saw where he was surviving out at sea in a little raft.....then once he drifted to a little island & was trying to go to sleep that night, he talked about still feeling like he was rocking & rolling on the waves.....& we talked about how they must have felt after being on that ship for two months in those rough conditions. After discussing all the things THEY had to be thankful for, we talked about all the things WE have this season to be thankful for. Our list included the usual things like: our home, family, food, clothes, friends, living here in America where we have freedom to worship & freedom to homeschool our kiddos, etc. Then I had each kid draw a picture for their notebooks of one thing that they are MOST thankful for. Michael & Alli both drew pictures of their home...Alli added mom, dad, food & water to hers. Then there was Jon's....Jon is the oldest of these three & the one I would consider the most artistic of the kids....so I was kinda surprised & disappointed when I came back & saw his little stick figure drawings that he had done in a hurry (he has hunting on the brain right now), BUT when I asked him about his picture....it was the bottom one I couldn't quite make out because he had drawn with a fat tipped marker....& he told me it was Jesus when he died on the cross for our sins................I was like WOW.....what can I say? Even though his picture was obviously drawn in a hurry, it actually probably had the most thought behind it. It's moments like this that make it all worthwhile!!

It's Monday.....what can I say?

Pics taken on the weekend we got engaged......Sept 1985.....Wow! Around the edge is written the lyrics to Kenny Chesney's song 'The Good Stuff'....Look into those eyes so deep in love....and drink it up.....yeah man, that's the Good Stuff.
Dillon took these pics of Danielle & I back in the spring....just acting silly...trying to get some pics of US....we are always the ones behind the camera. The quote reads: 'In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter & sharing of pleasures.'

Snapshot of Ashley & Alli taken at the American Idol concert back in Sept.

Need to get myself moving here.....don't seem to have anything wonderful to share this morning....maybe the guys will get a huge buck this afternoon & I'll have a good story along with some pictures. We just hung out yesterday....the boys watched football & I actually scrapped some. Got several layouts done. Then I made a big ole pot of potato soup for supper. Love that stuff!

Stayin' Home Today...

We definitely are staying home today. Michael has coughed & snotted all through the night & feels REALLY rotten. He doesn't FEEL like going anywhere & there's certainly NO need in us spreading our germies around to everyone else. What's wild is that everone else is still snoozing away (thought for sure they'd be up early today)......this DLST always throws me for a loop! I know Michael was up snotting & coughing, but I was just AWAKE too.....at 6am!(instead of my usual 7am). Bet I will be tired for the next couple of days. Well, off to fix Alli (who just woke up) some Cocoa Pebbles & refill my coffee cup.

Opening Day

A few of my latest creations.....trying to get ready for the craft/yard sale this coming weekend at TRBC. My reluctant model....Alli was trying on the hat & scarf, but really was NOT very thrilled when I pulled out the camera. I told her it was a neat idea to have an actual model for my goodies, but she didn't think so.

Boy, Jon sure was pumped about going hunting this morning!! Up & at 'em bright & early! They didn't see anything this morning & were on their way home when they jumped a buck....a small 6 pt.....but they didn't have a primer in the gun. Jon was so anxoius though when they headed back out after lunch.....kept saying he hoped they could get a 'Double Kill'. He so wanted to help Clay skin out his deer & then learn how to do his own. When they came home for supper he told me that he shot at & missed another 6 pointer. He was really disappointed. They said the Paul shot at & missed one too & they heard that Mason got one....they just didn't know how big. Oh well.....not bad for the first day. At least they saw deer.

I enjoyed the sunshine after lunch. Took my knitting outside & practiced on that for a while. It was so nice & relaxing just sitting out under the tree knitting. When I came in Michael still felt really bad (think he's got a cold....stuffed up, sore throat, head ache, etc.) so I told him I'd come in there & watch a movie with him. So, I finished crocheting another scarf while we wathed 'Holes'.

Keep forgetting about Daylight Savings Time.......was trying to keep the kids up for a bit tonight so I won't get woke up at 6am tomorrow....but Michael was feeling so bad, I just went ahead & tucked them in at 9:30pm. We won't be going to church tomorrow anyway. Now I'm getting ready to go watch 'National Treasure' with Chris, Ashley & Jon. Maybe I can finish my knitted dishcloth while I watch.
